CHIVALRY: FOUND DEAD!!!!! OMG!!!
July 21, 2014
Are there any men still purchasing a bouquet of flowers or even stars from the sky for women they love and cherish (outlandish right?!? I watched a Korean show and a guy really did this for a girl!)? Has chivalry become a thing of the past or even dead? I’m not saying dates and falling in love are about cash and material things. I’ve just noticed old-fashion ways went out of the window. I do not mind going “dutch”, but I’m very old-fashioned or traditional. I love roses, tulips, and romantic walks on the beach.
THE REAL DEAL
In my personal opinion, men are getting cheaper and cheaper. With that being said, women’s standards have become lower. Women do not even require dates anymore. A guy can just meet her at a bar and “get it.” I do not understand all of this. But again, one must be smart about #THE GAME…..Speaking of this topic, check out these links:
“Don’t Make Me Wait” by Jazmine Sullivan, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwv7SYzhL_w.
or “Friend Lover” by Electrik Red, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ByC-vo5KH8.
Not to sound hypocritical and all, but I love both of these songs, due to the catchy Prince + Vanity 6 beat. It’s not bad being a bad girl sometimes, but you have some people, especially the younger generation taking things literally and running rampant. Also, if a woman is looking for something REAL, then being a “bad girl” or “friends with benefits”would not be the option that I recommend. (Even friends with benefits is fading out. People are hooking up, then not talking after all the fireworks have went out. What’s sad is that these people have known each other, it’s not a “one-night stand’ situation. I guess some call themselves using someone, which isn’t fair! But…let’s be honest…some “romping” session are TERRIBLE!!! Above all things, “rules” should be made clear from the beginning and sex should be fun, not detrimental and drama-filled).
Anyways, in the past, I’ve had plenty of men ask me out on a date, then switch it up to say the date is at their house. First off, I do not know you like that! I prefer indoor dates once we’ve been together for a year, engaged, or even married. Do not tell me you want to take me out, then it finalizes to your living room. I do not mind a picnic at the park, just not your house. I could take myself on a nice date if that’s the case. I can afford Oyster Bars, Olive Garden, and other places without expecting my legs to be open at the end of the night.
Is this a “Easy, Kraft Mac n’ Cheese, ‘get laid’ tactic?” It looks and smells like it to me!!!! Seems like people want something little for free. I just feel that chivalry is slowly becoming extinct in this face paced world. I still believe….just a little bit. Ladies…at the end of the day, #Standards are key!!!
XOXO,
TIJERA
