Surprise!! Coming Out The Closet 🚪

It’s funny because a few weeks ago I broke the news to my parents that I’m a cuddle therapist. I discussed exactly what I do, pros + cons, and that most of all, I’m safe. Overall, my parents want me to continue to pursue what I studied in college, which is Human Resources Management, but as you can see with this pandemic, no one is really hiring. And I feel like I’m honestly too pretty for HR. I get so much sh*t for my looks.

My mother thought it was genius and is proud of my hustle. My Dad, not so much. He’s very concerned about my safety, but I always stay protected. He said, “I pray you get out of this all together.” I’m like, “Dad, you believe in the Lord right? Then pray for my protection and not against my hustle.”

The reason for this post though is because, supposedly, someone from my hometown went to my mom and said, “You need to worry about your daughter out here hoeing (envy).” Yo.....this is so funny to me! People need to research and know what they are talking about before speaking on my name.The same people talking about what I do are town drunkards or addicts. I am glad my mom mentioned this to me, but I wish she told me sooner.

Oh well, I know now what was said and my parents don’t have to worry about me and my daughter on a daily basis. They sais they just pray about me and whatever lifestyle I live, but deep down, any parent would worry if they heard someone making a comment like that about their daughter and she’s in a whole different city. Lastly, I don’t like asking for help. And my parents have had moments of not wanting to help or sabotage. I had to get out of my own way.

So for anyone getting into this industry, it’s up to you if you want to talk about it or not with family or friends. It’s crazy how people are so judgemental and I’m not even doing anything sexual. I am glad I told my parents because I didn’t need family members looking at me like a streetwalker when I come home and visit.
